Forum: feature_films Subject: The Strangler: date-in-notice 1963? (Video-Cellar)

The film was released in 1964. My not so sharp copy has a date-in-notice (in Roman numerals) that could be 1963. Does anyone have a clear copy with a perfectly readable date?

Sinister Cinema sells it, but Alpha Video doesn't. (Since the Sinister version comes from 16mm, the year is not likely to be legible.)

If the date-in-notice is 1963, then it would probably be PD since there was no copyright renewal.

I'm not understanding the nature of your question.

I downloaded it from here on 11/09 so it must be PD :-)

Probably same copy as yours and even descending upon it with all the mighty powers of VLC, the III or IIII is still a blob.
